What
A parcel-logistics platform for Доставки Хубенов, a UK ↔ Bulgaria carrier: a Bulgarian-first, fully bilingual public site where customers quote, track and book with no account, a client portal for shipments, invoices, messages and incoming parcels, and the operator console that runs the physical weekly van line from the UK into Bulgaria, with Econt carrying the last mile.
What was hard
This is an operations platform, not a brochure — the visible site is the smallest surface. The console had to run a real weekly line: intake at the depot, label printing at the bench, loads and manifests for the van, a run-sheet the driver works from, and invoicing that closes the loop. And sign-in had to fit the audience — phone-first, passwordless — in a stack where the SMS provider is not natively supported.
How
Three surfaces on one Supabase core — Postgres behind row-level security, Edge Functions, Realtime and Storage. The public site quotes, tracks and books with no login. Where the portal needs identity, it is passwordless: phone or email one-time codes, the SMS leg delivered through a custom Supabase Auth send-SMS hook on Infobip — not a native Supabase provider — with a branded “Hubenov” sender live for UK numbers. The operator console covers the depot end to end: intake, scan-and-print labelling through QZ Tray, loads and manifests, the driver run-sheet, invoicing with PDF and email delivery, global Cmd+K search, CSV export, an audit log and a money dashboard.
Result
Live at hubenov.delivery and operating the weekly UK → Bulgaria line: Bulgarian-first and fully bilingual on every surface, quote-track-book with no account on the public site, and the console carrying each parcel from intake through manifest to invoice.
01The Challenge
Доставки Хубенов moves parcels between the UK and Bulgaria — a physical weekly van line with customers on both ends and Econt handling the last mile inside Bulgaria. The platform had to do operational work, not brochure work: customers quote, track and book without ever creating an account; account holders see their shipments, invoices, messages and incoming parcels; and the depot needed a console to run the line itself — intake, labels, loads, the driver’s run-sheet, the invoicing. All of it Bulgarian-first and fully bilingual, on a light, legible surface, for an audience that lives on the phone.
The Design

02The Approach
One Supabase core — Postgres behind row-level security, Edge Functions, Realtime and Storage — carries three surfaces. The public site quotes, tracks and books with no login required. Where the portal needs identity, sign-in is passwordless: phone or email one-time codes, with the SMS leg delivered through a custom Supabase Auth send-SMS hook on Infobip — not a native Supabase provider — and a branded “Hubenov” sender live for UK numbers. The operator console runs the depot end to end: intake, scan-and-print labelling through QZ Tray at the bench, loads and manifests for the van, a driver run-sheet built for the road, invoicing that renders PDFs and emails them out, global Cmd+K search, CSV export, an audit log and a money dashboard. The front end is React on Vite in strict TypeScript — Tailwind, LazyMotion-trimmed Framer Motion, TanStack Query on the wire, react-i18next carrying the two languages — with Sentry watching production on Vercel.
The Solution
01
A public surface with no gate
Quote, track and book directly on the public site — no account, no login wall. Bulgarian-first with full English, light theme, built for customers on phones at both ends of the line.
02
An operator console that runs the line
Intake, scan-and-print labelling through QZ Tray, loads and manifests, the driver run-sheet, invoicing with PDF and email delivery, global Cmd+K search, CSV export, an audit log and a money dashboard — the weekly UK → Bulgaria van run is operated from this screen.
03
Passwordless auth, phone-first
Phone and email one-time codes. Infobip is not a native Supabase SMS provider, so the SMS leg runs through a custom Supabase Auth send-SMS hook — with a branded “Hubenov” sender live for UK numbers.
